The book is tight with solid hinges, good tips, and clean boards. Light wear to spine ends. The textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, or markings and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. B&W illustrations and illustrated endpapers. The dust jacket is unclipped ($29.99) with faint wear to spine head. Protected in a new Brodart Mylar cover. 395 pages. 5½ x 7½".

A practical, no-nonsense cookbook compiled after her husband's death to support her family, containing 1,200 recipes gathered from friends and family, along with her witty, casual "culinary chat" and detailed instructions for various kitchen procedures. The facsimile edition includes Irma's original introduction and a foreword by her son, Edgar Rombauer, and features the original cover art by her daughter, Marion.
